Why not both?

I created this website specifically to be a home to my eBook Vigil: Winter Visions of Great Salt Lake. On my old photography website, I couldn’t sell digital downloads so I went looking for a new solution. I thought about trying to create a place for this eBook on my old viola website, but since I created that website, things have changed and it was no longer as easy for a layperson to use. So I had two websites that I couldn’t figure out how to integrate well.

So I found a new home.

Why combine two websites? I’m sure I’ve committed a branding atrocity by doing so. I am pretty sure you aren’t supposed to dilute your brands. I’m probably doing something VERY BAD. My SEO is probably irreparably damaged. Oh no.

But then I realized, I’m not a brand. I am a person.

I like two things: Viola and Photography. (Well, I like other things, too, but maybe I don’t need a website about my love for ice cream.) So I created this website to feature those two things.

WHY NOT BOTH?
